Pleasant Fiction in an Age of Noise

Picture
I write stories about human emotions--about the journey of life. Every step of it can be meaningfully great or simply terrible and you can only reach the end after experiencing many kinds of things that make you grow. Emotional travels are the travels of life and the road of living is not one planned out in notebooks or organized in Scrivener. It is felt in love, hope, and fear and developed through an understanding of why humans go through these. And, on top of that, my books are adventure stories. History, fantasy, and daily modern situations are all adventures as long as you don't know for sure what's going to happen when you wake up each day. Because that would be like repeating the same day over and over again and who wants to do that?

Author Bio

And that just about covers my books. What about myself? Well, I am a country girl and am the fourth generation to live on our family farm in Texas. I am proud of the teachings and traditions of the Christian heritage and of the impact the Bible has had on my life. In God's words are the empowerment and hope that the world needs to hear about and I want my words to be a reflection of that--telling stories people really need. I was homeschooled once upon a time (quite a while ago now, when homeschooling was less common even than it is today) and I touch on this background and its experiences in a couple of my books.

My home is on a rural road surrounded by cultivated fields that rapidly give way to wild flowers and wild life and I can always be found scribbling away at a new project. I get most of my ideas while drifting innocuously around my house. And sometimes I exercise my beloved, blind Pomeranian, although Pom prefers to vegetate indoors. So in a number of ways my life is unusual and puts me in minority or underrepresented categories in fiction. And I am very proud of that.

All of my books are available widely at most online stores and at libraries.
So whether you use Amazon, B&N, Kobo, or smaller stores like Indigo and library distributors like Overdrive, my ebooks are just a click of a button away. Each book has a button on its page that links to all stores for easy browsing. Paperback books are available through Amazon.

My books have had extensive work done since their original publication dates. These publication dates range from 3-12 years ago. Alterations to the books include professional edits, whole or partial rewrites, reorganization (this especially applies to the novella collections) and change of series labels. Because of this, my listings on Goodreads are not accurate. The changes authors can make on Goodreads are small and I've found it impossible to replace old covers or remove listings of series no longer in existence like "The Valley Stories." The three Valley Stories have been recommissioned as two unrelated books called "Victoria: A Tale of Spain," and "Consuela, Palladia #2." The first Valley Stories title, "Alyce," was merged with "Victoria" and no longer exists individually. But not according to Goodreads! Amazon's listings are accurate because I can update them, as are listings on retail sites. But I'd take anything you find about my books on Goodreads with a grain of salt because it's going to be years out of date.
